I don't know how much I'll ever be adding to this page. X enjoys watching cartoons, but we don't have cable, just Netflix, so he tends to watch the same ones over again. There are a few things that constantly drive me bananas though! I didn't want to put this in a post as I may want to add to it as he discovers new cartoons. Plus, my brain doesn't always work, so there are some that I have forgotten about at the moment, but will want to comment on later! :)
The Berenstain Bears
I really enjoy this series. Love the books, and the animated series both. The thing that gets on my nerves? The theme song for the series. Well, a couple of lines from the theme song.
"They're kinda furry around the torso,
They're a lot like people only more so."
What? Does that really make sense? They're a lot like people only more so? More so like people than people are? No! No no no no! Drives me nuts.
It also gives me the willies that everyone in Bear County calls Papa Bear, Papa Bear. Was that his name when he was a baby? Has he and Mama Bear always been known as Papa and Mama? Was this an arranged marriage?
The Barnyard
Otis the cow is a boy cow with udders. No!
Franklin
Franklin the turtle has a name. It's Franklin. His friends however, are Bear, Beaver, Duck, Fox, Snail, and Owl. Why is Franklin the only one to get a name? Why isn't he called Turtle? Does no one else notice? Even the "adults" in the series are Mrs. Goose and Mr. Badger.
